Squint surgery

Squint is a common eye condition in which both our eyes do not look in the same direction at a time; when a patient is looking at any specific direction, the other eye can point outward, inward, upward, or downward. The causes can be nerve or eye muscle injuries. Squint can be corrected if diagnosed early with simple eye patches, specially prepared eyeglasses, and minor surgical procedures (in some exceptional cases). Squint surgery is a general procedure. It usually involves tightening or moving one or more of the extrinsic eye muscles, which move the eye to change the eye position. Muscles are attached closer to the front of the eye under the conjunctiva or the surface layer of our eyeballs. Consult with eye specialists for the most reliable advice on squint treatment for your child.
